Dragon Expo 2006 Pictures

Dargon uploaded some pictures of Dragon Expo 2006 to it site. Here is the link. Not much news for Cando as it only shows the same Merkava series (again without painting) as above. I like the Dragon Armor though as now we can get some M4s and from the pictures, they look pretty nice.

WTM 9 - T-10M

Sorry I put a little trick in my quiz as the tank is not a WWII tank. But probably your answer is close. It's the T-10M of the World Tank Museum 09.

Modern armor is not my favorite but this series does show the quality Takara has improved series after series. The marking and painting are good compared to previous series. May be Takara has put in some quality control in the production line. For example, the white cross on the T-10M below the painting is very well done with weathering effect (you can see the difference if you compare it to the old WTM02 or WTM03 releases.

I also found a drawing of the same tank. May be Takara was based on this drawing doing the design work.

Another version of the T-10M has a white cross painted on it. At first I thought it was used for air recognition (same as those WWII tanks) but I found out later it should be one used in the Prague or Czech Invasion (see picture below).

I don't know if it's really a T-10M or not as an article said T-10M had never involved in any real action in its history.

If you want to see more pictures, check this site.

Pro-Hobby - Russian Sniper

Sorry for slow update as I spent most of my time watching World Cup in recent weeks. I did receive some package and here is one. The Russian Snipers. More to come. A little quiz, can you identify what is the tank behind these soldiers?

Yokosuka Military Model Arsenal

Above is a Horch truck from Yokosuka Military Model Arsenal. It's my next shopping target but first of all, I need to clean my bench as there are many WIP on my desk. Too many works, too little time. .....and also the World Cup does not help either.

Again, a close up picture of Cando Merkava collection from Hobbylink Japan.

Metal Troops Creation

Here are some close up pictures from Hobbylink Japan of Metal Troops future releases in Shizuoka show.

1. JagdTiger with interior details.
2. King Tiger.
3. Sd Kfz 232.
4. Churchill.
5. Crusader.
6. Horch 1500.
7. Panther G.

I think the weathering of some kits are a bit too heavy. What do you think?

M1A2 - Thermal Management System

Let's change the topic today. When I was checking on the Panzer Korp M1A2, I found it's quite not accurate. For example, the TMS (Thermal Management System) at the back of the turrent is missing. On the other hand, what is that stick next to it? It seems the model is too long and much too big. I think I need to redo these 2 things first. Any comments? I haven't compared it in detail but overall I think the WTM M1A2 looks better than the Dragon one. More later.

Work in Progress - M1A2 and M109A6

Sorry for no updates in the past few days as again I need to work for money. Not much news lately so may be I just show you something on my work bench - A M1A2 and a M109A6 of Panzer Korps.

In order to make it not the same as a regular Cando tank, I try to make some modifications. So far, I have just make some accessories on both tanks. I also tried to find some pictures of M1A2 in OIF but I couldn't. It seems the only division in OIF has M1A2 is the 4th Infantry Division but not many pcitures are showing a M1A2 in action in Iraq. Does anyone know any link?
