New Panzer Korp - Tiger I

It's not a surprise Dragon is going to release the new 1/144 Tiger I in kit form (Panzer Korp) before the Cando release. Unlike the Cando releases which are pre-painted, you will get 3 identical tanks (112, 141, 142) as you need to paint them yourselves. I will still buy the Cando version to complete my collection but I don't see any reason to buy these.

Good news about the PanzerKorps kits. Ill probably not get the candy ones but definately the PK ones. Find these spot on for wargaming and love doing the kits. Also cheaper ! One good thing I noticed with the Stug versions that last came out, Dragon have reverted to a much harder plastic in the kits, the older ones tended to be a softer plastic, with the harder plastic the kits are much easier to work with.

well done dragon...

It's new to me as I didn't realize they are using different material for Panzer Korp and Cando. You're right, if you use them for wargaming, probably it's good idea to get PK as they are cheaper per tank. But I think one problem is each set of 2 tanks, sometime you can use only one. For example, in this set, one tank I think it the prototype or from first batch. You probably don't want a full platoon of experiment tanks. Bt the way, probably I will get one set to check it out then if they are using different material. Thanks for the info. Happy modelling.
